Tax Question: To File an Amendment or Not??

So, my girlfriend left one job in mid. Jan. 2007, worked for a temp company for about 1 month, and then entered into her current job.

She filed her taxes for the old job and new job, but forgot to enter the w2 for the temp agency.

We did the calculations, and she would get back like $20 from filing the amendment.

The question is, if you are owed money, does the IRS really care if you file an amendment? Will this have a negative impact on anything in the future?

if you don't want to do the work to get the refund, then no, you don't have to
keep the paperwork, the w-2 and print the amendment and keep them with your tax papers, just in case, but there is no penalty when you owe no tax or they owe you
