Tax Question: If I create a C corporation

If I create a C corporation, but do not do business do I have to file tax stuff? Basically, thinking of laying the ground work, just not business yet.

Did any money go towards or come from this "c corporation?" If not, you do not. If so, yes.

FYI - If you have a Fed. Tax ID for the corporation, they'll be looking for a return.

Don't forget state. E.g., in CA you have to pay a $800 franchise tax every year whether you generate any income or not.

Depends where you incorporate. NY, NJ, and CA for sure have minimum taxes required to be filed each year. States like Nevada are making a killing on incorporation fees.

$100 is what is costed me to get a self employment business license here in NV:thumbsup:
