Say you receive income that should be on a 1099-MISC, but one wasn't filed.

How would you file it? Turbotax only works off of forms, not manually entered information?

Do I need to just pretend there was a 1099-MISC and try to make up the amounts that would belong in each of the fields? I don't have info like ID #'s of the payer necessarily and don't want them in trouble.

Why thank you. But hm, that seems more for wages. Not sure it's the right thing.

If the income was for something other that work or services, where it is entered depends on the source. But, in general, "other income " is reported on line 21 of form 1040.
