Tax deadline?

It doens't matter that it's a saturday - you can still postmark them by that day 😛 Get off your lazy bum and do what you should have months ago.
 
when 15 april falls on a weekend, the filing deadline is moved back to the next monday, so 17 april is the date this year

however, some states that observe patriots day on monday, have the filing date extended (for both state and federal) to tuesday, 18 april

I owe money. I owe a lot of money due to a divorce right at the end of the year. Why should I mail mine in months ago instead of collecting 6% interest on it until April 17th? I had my taxes calculated in Dec 2005, and the official paperwork filled out in Jan 2006. I just don't want to mail it in until the last day. Why does that make me a lazy bum?
