Wrong again.

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/17/business/trump-tax-cuts-revenue.html

That’s what we saw in the 2018 fiscal year with the tax cuts. A few months before they passed, the Congressional Budget Office predicted the government would take in $3.53 trillion in revenues for the fiscal year. On Monday, the Treasury reported that revenue was actually $3.33 trillion for the year — $200 billion short, even though economic growth has outpaced the budget office’s forecasts.

When are you going to learn just how complete ignorant Trump is when it comes to economics? He will just keep making you look stupid.

Without watching a YouTube video, I'm guessing slowspyder doesn't understand how GDP works.

Someone told him what he wants to hear who looks like someone who knows what he is talking about said something and he accepted it unquestioningly.

I love watching you worker ants try so hard to pretend Trump wasn't 100% right. He nailed it, liberals were wrong again. End of story.

Because revenues are still higher than without the cuts.

Except they aren’t. Before the cuts revenues were projected to be $200 billion higher for FY2018 than they turned out to be. If revenues had been equal or higher they would have paid for themselves. They were not, so they didn’t pay for themselves. Remember to use logic and not feels.

Your logic is that if revenues were supposed to go up $200 billion before the tax cuts and then went up $1 after them the tax cuts paid for themselves. Lol. Never start a business, you will go bankrupt very quickly with that logic.

Which recent year had higher revenue with the higher tax rate?

Because revenues are still higher than without the cuts.

Incorrect. They're higher than 2017 & lower than projected under the old tax plan. The burden has also been shifted from corporations to individuals.

Are you being deliberately obtuse? (Yes)

Before the tax cuts revenues for FY2018 were projected to be x.

After the tax cuts revenues for FY2018 were x-$200,000,000,000

This is basic math. It’s okay that Trump was wrong, it shouldn’t even be surprising as he doesn’t understand economics. I know you want it to be true emotionally but in the real world we deal with logic and facts, not your hurt feelings.

Since slow is clearly trolling I’ll direct this to others who might happen by. Tax cuts pay for themselves when they meet or exceed the revenues that were forecasted prior to their enactment. More than last year isn’t paying for themselves.

If I give you a pay cut but you work more hours did the pay cut pay for itself? Well for me it did. You worked more for less than you would have gotten. For you. Well. You’d be a stupid person if you argued having less revenue than you would have was a win.

Called it!

Slowspyder doesn't understand how GDP works and how it relates to tax revenue.

Whatever makes you sleep better at night. Posting in troll thread.

I am sleeping great at night, yes. And again, all time high revenues with the tax cuts. I knew some of you wouldn't let me down and would try and pretend this is a bad thing. Carry on guys. :)

Spidey, I get that your intention was to troll with this thread as nobody is actually stupid enough to think these tax cuts paid for themselves.

What I don’t get though is wouldn’t you want to troll in a way that makes you look less stupid?
