Close mindedness? Is that what is called 30 years of track record these days?

Crazy kids.

You don't think it's at least a little close-minded to call your perspective the Truth with a capital T? Especially on an issue as complex as taxation?

That's funny as hell...but probably seems blasphemous to the "trickle-down" believers...who are more delusional than most religious fanatics.

You'll be shocked to hear I feel the same way about Evolution. Evidence is funny that way.

Obviously I'm not shocked since I read the post I linked where you said as much. The point is that your beliefs have changed but your dogmatic frame of mind hasn't IMO. You appear to be the liberal doppleganger of your old self.

Forgive me for not being all Wishy-Washy or in Denial of Reality.

This killed the last discussion on the same topic...

I really do want input...

i have a challenge for you (and im being sincere).

I would like you to point out how taxes on the highest bracket effect the economy.

I have actually done projects on this topic and i have failed to find a link between taxes, capital gains tax, and corporate tax rates in relation to GDP growth, or private investment (which drives growth), or unemployment (the lagging indicator of growth).

I leveraged non-partisan data like the CBO and the IRS and used data straddling from the great depression to current.

I could not find a statistical link between lowering taxes on the rich and growth or a change in the 1st or 2nd derivative that i could attribute to taxes.

This is using 80 years of data.

I see my genuine effort to gain some insight on the matter is ignored.

Maybe it is because the evidence to support the stance that "tax cuts help the economy" is supported by nothing.

The fact that you're stealing from productive members of society to give to high school drop-outs is reason enough to cut taxes and spending.

Silly person. It's all about faith, greed, and anti-gubmint raving, not about facts.

That's kind of a sweeping statement. What if I made the argument that your idea supports increasing the taxes on teachers and nurses to support Paris Hilton's coke habit?
