Hi guys, i'm googling and I want to know if there is a good tax calculator where I can just plug in my annual salary and then it will break it down to how much federal tax i have to pay, state, and like 401k etc etc.

example: salary = 100,000
federal tax = $xxx
state tax = $yyy
401k(%x) = $xxx

if you get the idea? I will be working in NYC. Thanks

www.paycheckcity.com is a great one if anyone is interested

It wasn't sarcasm. Someone posts that they are Googling and still can't find what they want. And the result is that someone usually comes along and says in a condescending way to try Google. How did that help at all? Really, what did you contribute to the thread or to the plight of the OP? Nothing. The OP was already Googling. And if it were so true that Googling is easy, why not help out and give the link right away? It would be less work for you to leave the thread alone or to give the right link than to post a useless post.

I always try to show the "try Google" people in a bad light when they use that rude response.

I didn't see the "googling" word in his OP, that was my bad. I thought he was just an asshat looking for a quick answer instead of doing the research instead. My intention was to call him out for being a lazy asshat, not for using incorrect search terms.

Well, are you getting tax refunds? If you are then you should probably claim more exemptions

Dunno yet, my tax situation changed drastically this past year. I think I will wait and see at my filing this year and go from there.
