tax at costco?

i was thinking about getting a membership there and was wondering is there any tax on anything you buy there? (i.e. Sales Tax, Costco tax)

Costco's here in california charge sales tax. I guess it depends on if your state/county has a sales tax. They don't have a "costco tax", just the membership fee.

i remember before at sams club there wasn't any sales tax.

I remember before that you're an idiot. It's state law (in every state that HAS a sales tax) that retailers (including big-box stores like Sam's and Costco) must charge sales tax on items. Some states don't include sales tax on food, others do. But every retailer charges sales tax in transactions involving customers.

As Ross said no sales tax in Oregon 😛 but plenty of rain and unemployment and other stupid taxes.
