Taurine, caffeine, and alcohol OH MY!

Just saw this drink called Sparkle last night at 7-11 that lists these as the main attraction. Anyone tried this stuff?

I almost got it, but really had a taste for beer at the time.

Careful, caffine should be fine, but if that taurine is the active ingredient in red bull, it's proven to be risky to mix with alcohol. Some places are banning the sale of redbull with alcohol because of reports of heart attacks. But I know as well as well as anyone how well redbull goes with liquor.

Me too...when I went, that's *all* they drink in Euro clubs

Dude taurine is an amino acid. In performance circles it's known as helping act as an osmolyte to draw water into muscles. There's no proven or theoretical risk of mixing it with alcohol.

<< reminds me of washing down my nodoz with coffee at work >>

I'm thinking this could have some decidedly negative results...

<< Vodka/Red Bull is a good drink, but Red Bull isn't exactly a cheap mixer. >>

Depends on the proportions you use... Bought in a case, Red Bulls are about $1.50 each...Split each one up into 4 glass-size drinks and it's not so bad

Taurine is a form of B vitamin, which can help enhance energy.

Redbull and Vodka is a great drink. Really does "powerbreak" the nevous system. Thanks to whoever said that...

<< so basically a red bull with alcohol. how much is it? red bull is hella expensive. >>
