Taulatin running on slot 1 BX mobos?

It's a vague rumour that taulatins can be thrown in slot 1 mobo's with an adaptor card,

is this just b.s. or does anyone have info?

I suppose it's possible...probable voltage problems....
But isn't it time to buy a new MB with all the new bells and
whistles????

that would be the point of using an adapter card, to translate the voltage.

& my mobo already had an IDE controller, ram slots, & pci slots, i dont need any bells & whistles

All things are possible with human ingenuity, but I find this one to be unlikely. I'll be able to go into more detail once the processor has been released officially but for now, there's a good thread on the subject in the Highly Technical forum.
