Tatoo Question??

Why don't you call a tattoo shop and ask? More than likely it's 18 though, and having an older person with you doesn't make a difference, it's not like going to the movies.

Brother doesn't help. Most tattoo places wont' do anything unless you're over 18 or you have a parent/guardian with you.

Do you REALLY want to get a huge tattoo on your arm at 17? You're going to be stuck with it the rest of your life. If you want to get a job in any sort of corporate world, you may not ever be able to expose your arms at work or around your boss. You'd better think about that sort of thing, there's no second chance on that sort of thing (at least without paying a lot for removal).

I work in a corporate world, so when I got my tatt, I made it sure it would be hidden under my work clothes. It's a barbed wire armband on my right arm....and only a couple guys at work know about it.

So...the same thing half the other people getting tattoos get now? Like I said, at least get something original.

It's 18 in most states. I live in PA, but my tattoo guy is in NJ. When I was there last time they wouldn't let a 17 year-old get one without his parent/guardian present.

Lord Evermore,

The barb wire around the arm thing has just gotten popular in the past 3-4 years. I have had mine for a good bit longer. Who knows when Savage gots his done. Tattoos sort of exploded with the arrival of Nu-metal(rap-metal). Since all these wannabe metal bands had tattoos to look cool.

Good God you lot! He doesnt even say how old he is!!! Get a henna one and see if you could live with that for the rest of your life... if you get bored you can always wash off and get a new one, if you dont like it then you can rest assured that you wont have to pay thousands for the laser removal later on 🙂

Doh! Yes he did🙂 sorry - but the above still is of importance... now - if you wanna see a real nice tattoo check this out...My Tattoo its on the base of my spine - just above my knickers 🙂

<< Go someplace shady but don't get TB >>

yes...if you're a moron... go to a non-reputible place.

Any place that would tattoo someone under age is someplace I wouldnt go to.

Too many idiots getting tattoos these days. Enraged, I'm not saying your one of them... but please consider what you're going to do. Now, I'm not anti-tattoo by any means...beings as I have my left arm covered and my right is being worked on... but -DO NOT- just go into the first shop you see and get one.

Don't go into a shop and find the first cool thing on the wall and say "I'll get that"

Don't get stupid $%#@ written on you either... like "Big Pimp" or something of the sort... you'll hate it in about 2 years. The fact is many people dislike their first tattoo within a few years of getting it. If you never get into tattoos after that.... it will be the only tattoo you have and you'll hate yourself for getting it.

If you get into them your tastes in it will mature and you'll end up hating it anyways...and it will become nothing more than a future coverup and/or waste of space.

So when you're of legal age... (in PA it's probably 18...if its 21..then you'll just have to wait) take some time to find a REPUTIBLE CLEAN shop. If you're concerned about price...and you find yourself "price shopping" dont get one. They're not right for you.

And to answer your question...I'm not aware of any state where you can be underage and take someone of age in with you for consent. Piercings...yes... you can do that in many states...however, tattoos, as you know are permanent.

So in other words... just wait till your of age. A shop might do it... but like I said. I shop that inks someone underage is about the last place you want to be in.
