TAT versus Speedfan

Does anyone know which is more accurate - the Intel Thermal Analysis Tool or Speedfan. I ran both of them together while doing Orthos, and they reportes slightly different temps. One wsa showing core processor temps of 59 to 60 while the other was showing 62.

Speedfan only shows the hotter of the two core temps, on a dual-core chip.
Check out the 4.32 version which supports Core 2. I think it still has some issues, but I see an overall CPU temp, and two different core temps. The core temps look too low, but I guess one would have to understand exactly where they are measured to be sure.

Were you looking at the ACPI thermal zone temp on the iTAT, on my laptop that is the same temp as shown in speedfan, the individual core temps are different from that (speedfan does not even show them)
Sometimes they update at different intervals so i get 1 C difference for a while.
