WTF?

Master of Puppets is amazingly kickass from cover to cover. 😛

Build my fear of what's out there
Cannot breathe the open air
Whisper things into my brain
Assuring me that I'm insane
They think our heads are in their hands
But violent use brings violent plans
Keep him tied, it makes him well
He's getting better, can't you tell?

The only song on that CD that really survived the test of time for me, Sanitarium. I can still listen to the others but don't enjoy them as much.

The album certainly isn't bad, but it was the beginning of the end for Metallica IMO. Battery is awesome as is Master of Puppets. However, then you have the boring and repetitive Thing That Should Not Be, which is bad enough for me to skip it. Sanitarium is another awesome song on the album, but then you got the mediocre Disposable Heroes. The song is good at first, but eight minutes? They could've easily made it four or so. Leper Messiah was pretty good, but something about it is unmemorable. Orion is another awesome song on the album, and finally it ends with Damage Incorporated. The first minute was way too quiet and once it started going it just sounded like generic thrash metal.
