taskbar refresh on demand

okay, this is a very very lazy question, I know,

but is there a program to redraw your taskbar (the one next to your clock containing small icons and such)

because I remotely start and stop an application, but when it stops (using pskill) the taskbar icon stays untill I hover my mouse over it, I'd like to have a redraw after the taskkill so it doesnt look like the app is still running when it is no more.

none that i know of, but you can kill explorer.exe and restart it and it'll be gone

that is a solution that will work, but it's kinda harsh and will also kill other taskbar icons (that I know from my experiences with explorer crashes)
