Question Taskbar icons disappeared in Windows 10

Hi,

My taskbar icons suddenly all disappeared, i.e. those that are pinned (and still are), and all open apps. The taskbar is just empty even though the apps are running. This suddenly happened after I turned off my PC and turned it back on later. How do I get them back?

try to restart your File Explorer through Task Manager

Do you have multiple monitors? I have this happen quite often on my laptop when I go between docking stations and the PC goes to sleep mode. What I do is right click on the taskbar, go to taskbar settings, then toggle off the option for "show taskbar on all displays", then turn it back on. That solves it for me.
