Taskbar Help in XP

I was wondering if someone can tell me what setting I have to change.

I turned on my computer, and I can't get windows "back" from the taskbar.

I will minimize windows, and they will go to the taskbar, but then when I click on the taskbar to get them back, they don't open up. Any thoughts?
 
This happened to me when I went from a multiple-monitor setup down to a single monitor. It's probably unlikely that that's the case with your situation, but just in case, I've been able to remedy the problem by right-clicking the taksbar items and selecting Maximize.
