taskbar customization for windows xp

ive googlde this topic a million times and i dont think theres a solution, besides downloading windows themes. so heres the challenge.: how can u change that blinking orange alert in the task bar to some other color just using registry changes. thanks

from what i understand of xp themes (luna included) they're made of bitmaps, so if you had maybe an msstyles editor you can change that color

I don't remember any blinking orange when you get an IM from msn messenger, or any blinking orange thing in Windows XP taskbar. Can you post a screenshot of this?

Ohh that... I almost forgot about that, I'm usually using XP in classic mode so its blue colored.
