Task manager in Windows XP wasn't functioning properly. It would appear without menus, without tab bar, without title bar (so it couldn't be minimized, maximized, or closed). It was stuck on top of other windows and the only solution was to logout and log back in (thereby closing all open programs). It happened with only one user on that computer, other users were fine. Windows XP. No viruses, no spyware. Reboots don't solve anything.

Edit: sorry, I found the solution. Left click on it ~20 times rapidly in succession and it comes back to life.

Glad you found the solution, but you might be able to help someone else by letting us know what the problem was and how you solved it.

Just double click in the graph part, that switches it back and forth. I know the solutions already posted but you dont need 20 clicks, just 2 :)

Its not a problem, its a feature ;) It freaked me out 1st time too though..
