Task manager question....

In my processes tab i have 12 different processes all entitled svchost.exe. Any help?

What do you want to know about it?

svchost.exe is your "Service Host" within which many of Windows System Services run.

If you are curious as to which processes are running in that tree - download "Procmon" and it will be able to expand the process tree to a much more default level.

Use Process Explorer instead. You can even set it up to replace Task Manager shortcuts so that they link to Process Explorer.

Or just right click on one of the svchost entries in the Processes tab and click Go To Services.
