Task Manager not showing two CPU's on HT processors

I freshly reinstalled WinXP and for some reason task manager doesn't show "Two CPUs." I checked Device Manager and I see "two" 2.6c. Is it ok or do I need to reinstall windows?

i don't own a P4 with HT, but do you have HT enabled in the bios ??

 

yes, in fact i cant even disable it even if i wanted to

I don't think it's supposed to, I've had 3 different P4's with HT and none showed two cpu's in Task Manager

They do show in device manager, and on one of my motherboards it showed two in POST (P4G8X), but in my P4P800 it only shows one in POST.

Go into Task Manager/View/CPU History and make sure "One Graph per CPU" is checked.

the one graph for each cpu is grayed out. cant check it. wat to do?
