task bar icons not showing up in XP Pro w/ SP2

If I hit C+A+D I see the processes running, but a lot aren't showing up in my task bar (the icons by the clock) Yahoo is one of them, Deamon tools also isn't showing up. I scanned for viruses with Avast, and ran spybot & adaware. Has anyone else encountered this? the system besides that, seems to be operating properly.

I think what you mean is that the icons are not showing up in the systray part of the taskbar, right? If that is the case check this web site out:
