TAS poll open! And closed...

Here is the poll for the January 2008-project for TAS!

I have made a somewhat unusual poll:

The 1st option: should we take part in the race against Free-DC in SoB?
The 2nd option: should we crunch a BOINC-project?
The 3rd option: should we crunch an other non-BOINC-project?

If the 2nd or 3rd options together have 8 votes or more, I'll put up a new poll accordingly.

Please vote as soon as you can.

We are TAS, <<The TeAm AnandTech Sentinels, the mini-team which can add tremendous crunching power to any project. Considering that the TeAm in SoB is in a race.
One of the reasons for a sentinel mini team is to help in races ...

TAS has crunched SoB in February 2005. At that time TAS was quite small - many of the current TAS-members came after that date.

Please decide what you want to do and vote, please!

Wow, I am impressed!

The poll has been open for 1 hour and 2 minutes and there are already 5 votes in!
All 5 votes for crunching SoB!

Please continue to vote - you know that I would like to see at least 12, preferably 15 votes from the TAS-membership!

I voted: 9 for SoB and 1 for something else, tsk! tsk!

Am I allowed use campaign slogans like tsk! tsk! on a voting site? In some countries I could be arrested.

Just now: 9 votes for SoB and 2 for other BOINC-projects.

Yes you are, RT. You can also use other slogans, such as kiss, kiss, kiss! 😉

I have assumed that we are going to Seventeen or Bust and have all my FX-60s going full bore!

Catch me if you can!

If you guys end up helping in SOB here are a few links that might help:

If you want to run more than 1 instance you need to install as a service

Installing as a service in XP instructions can be found in TallBill's daily stats thread, along with the link to SBQueue.
Do yourself a favor & reboot your computer to complete the install. If not you can run into the "Lost test" problem when you do reboot your comp at a later date.
Fix for Lost Proth Test

Vista apparently is more of a pain.

Tom Philippart & others may have some tips with Vista.

Thanks Spacehead for the links and info.

Just now the vote is:

10 votes (=83.33%) for running SoB
2 votes (=16.67%)for running some other BOINC-project.

The poll will be closed later today at about 13.00 UTC+1.
Happy New Year, TeAm and TAS!

Personaly I would like to go back to Boinc(set it and forget it) but it's so much fun helping the team on other projects.

Looks like Sid has ramped it up another notch!🙂

The General has his quad going too!

Caferace is still getting his BOINC fix!😉
