If the WU's I've gotten over the last few hours have true time to completion estimates, things are about to change a bit.

Hmmm, I have had some periods with "server overload" @ PrimeGrid - could not upload completed WUs. It passes within 30 minutes or so, but ...
2006-05-10 07:48:23|PrimeGrid|Message from server: The server is overloaded. You will be able to connect once the load clears up.

:Q Is that you jim? ;)

I noticed last night that checking pending credit (or at least checking *my* pending credit) would actually drive the server batty, incresing the load average some 10 pts. So I stopped doing that. :)

But I haven't done it for 8+ hrs., so....

Hey there TAS-mates, I've been out here in the wilderness for a few days, busy rebuilding boxes and getting swamped with real life work. It looks like I'm out of the thick of it so you can expect me to fire up for PrimeGrid within the next day or two. It's just another BOINC project right?

w00t! "Just another BOINC project" in the sense we're making a nice dent. The more the merrier Adam! Come play!

-jim

p.s... At least these WU's are predictable, but sometimes the time to completion estimates are way off. No "niners" though. ;)

Actually, I was thinking it might be me since I've more than quadrupled my output. :D

Go NWM! I feel like a fox being chased by the hounds. :D

Oh. And the pending results link has conveniently disappeared (and been turned off).

LOL....

EDIT: Eeeek. Looks like the wife is catching up to me in this project... :( You have to understand, if she catches up, I'll never hear the end of it... "My little machine caught your big machine"...

Q: How can you tell if a project needs more users?

A: When there are some PIII's in the top 100 computers. :D

The PrimeGrid scheduler is currently hosed. Rytis has been alerted. WU's are backing up...

Report from PrimeGrid's messageboard:
It seems that Rytis has broken something in the scheduler: you can upload and report one (1) WU and then it all stops. You can not downlowd new WUs. You can not report crunched WUs. Rytis writes that it may take until Saturday before it is fixed ... :(

I have restarted seti@home since I will run out of WUs long before Saturday ... have now less than 24 hours cache left.

Report from PrimeGrids Homepage:
Project is temporarily shut down for maintenance

That has not happened in quite some time ... and what will happen when it starts again? Information overload? Server overheating? Cable melting?

Yes, it is up and all crunched "tasks" uploaded :), all 540 of them. And quite a few seti-WUs too, but those got uploaded anyhow ... ;)

The stats-tables looks good - the TeAm gained more than 10 000 credits in the passed 24 hours! :D

Normally I would do the stats just about now. But I will wait for a few more hours.
The server has been up and the down, and I have the impression that things are not as stable as they should be.
I'll do the stats when at least one more stats-site has had the time to update their stats today (e.g. BOINCstats, or Free-DC) and when the numbers are more in accordance with each other.

Here are the more comprehensive stats for TAS @PrimeGrid.

The team-stats: Please note thet the Team's stats are a few hours old.
Sorted according to credits:
Rank ___ Members _____ RAC ________ Credits ______ Name ______________ credits added in May
1 _______ 31 ______ 1 175.38 ___ 1 053 941.96 ___ BOINC@Heidelberg ___ (+ 12 701.04)
2 ______ 131 ______ 1 327.01 _____ 966 174.96 ___ BOINC Synergy ______ (+ 14 035.98)
3 ________ 3 ________ 143.23 _____ 942 624.67 ___ Team Alienware _____ (0)
4 _______ 26 ______ 7 446.11 _____ 866 512.16 ___ Team Anandtech _____ (+ 96 772.07)
5 _______ 13 ________ 502.47 _____ 372 887.09 ___ Picard _____________ (+ 5 529.74)
6 _______ 22 ______ 1 450.55 _____ 318 413.07 ___ AMD Users __________ (+ 16 318.11)

Team Anandtech @ Primegrid has produced twice as many credits than the other top 5 teams together. TAS alone has produced 34 199.86 more credits than the other teams together! TAS produces just now 85.5% of all TA's credits ...

Sorted according to RAC:
Rank ___ Members _____ RAC ________ Credits ______ Name
1 _______ 26 ______ 7 446.11 _____ 866 512.16 ___ Team Anandtech
2 _______ 22 ______ 1 450.55 _____ 318 413.07 ___ AMD Users
3 ______ 131 ______ 1 327.01 _____ 966 174.96 ___ BOINC Synergy
4 _______ 31 ______ 1 175.38 ___ 1 053 941.96 ___ BOINC@Heidelberg
5 ________ 2 ________ 936.79 ______ 32 908.03 ___ Team-TNT
6 ________ 6 ________ 686.23 _____ 216 453.20 ___ OCDistributed

In the first 12.5 days TAS has produced 82 784.73 credits, that is 6 622,78 credits/day. In this pace, TAS will produce a approximately 205 000 credits in the month of May. I think that this is still an underestimate, since the RAC is still climbing: (from 3 636.01 to 4 605.12 (one week ago) and then to 6 182.67 (today, + 70%).

From the stats it is reasonable to estimate that Team Anandtech (TA) will produce some 9 000 credits per day (which TA has done for the last 3 days). That would bring TA's to a total production in May of approximately 240 000 credits ... Looks good, doesn't it? :D

Looks great, doesn't it? :)
But the production has got down: from approx. 18 500 credits/day down to 7 000 credits/day. TAS really did something there!
