Just for your elucidation and great elation:

Team Anadtechs production in the last five days:
July 11: 20 480 credits (highest production of all teams!)
July 10: 12 237 credits (highest production of all teams!)
July 09: 10 214 credits (second highest production of all teams!)
July 08: 10 474 credits (second highest production of all teams!)
July 07: 10 786 credits (second highest production of all teams!)

:D I think this is the famous TAS-effect! :D

Here are the current stats of TAS crunching MalariaControl.

Some of the TAS-stats:
Credits ______ RAC ________ Credits _______ RAC _____ Production
July 1 _______ July 1 _______ July 12 ______ July 12 _____ in July
32 256,05 ___ 1 664,25 ____ 112 174.03 ___ 5 880.86 ____ 79 917.98

TAS accounts for 75.4% of the team's total production in July.

The team-stats:
Sorted according to credits:

Rank ___ Members ______ RAC _________ Credits _____ credits added in July ____ Name
_5 _______ 17 _______ 6 578.60 ____ 436 621.27 ________ 79 253.09 ___________ The Final Front Ear
_6 ________ 9 _______ 4 581.21 ____ 412 672.65 ________ 53 870.49 ___________ SETI@Netherlands
_7 _______ 30 _______ 7 805.00 ____ 363 434.66 _______ 105 925.85 ___________ Team Anandtech (+2)
_8 _______ 17 _______ 2 407.00 ____ 326 691.12 ________ 26 688.27 ___________ USA
_9 _______ 43 _______ 9 490.65 ____ 280 583.82 _______ 132 730.17 ___________ AMD Users
10 _______ 13 _______ 1 237.12 ____ 276 848.48 ________ 16 729.20 ___________ Free-DC
11 _______ 69 _______ 4 052.64 ____ 167 590.59 ________ 50 070.25 ___________ Czech National team

The total production in July does not reflect TA's production in the last 5 days: 64 191 credits. Only AMD Users have produced more: 70 132 credits.

Sorted according to RAC:
Rank __ Members _____ RAC ________ Credits ______ Name
1 ______ 101 ____ 9 696.90 ____ 963 215.39 _____ L' Alliance Francophone
2 _______ 43 ____ 9 483.52 ____ 281 460.56 _____ AMD Users
3 _______ 30 ____ 7 881.16 ____ 364 972.47 _____ Team Anandtech (+5)
4 _______ 17 ____ 6 619.63 ____ 437 709.74 _____ The Final Front Ear
5 ______ 105 ____ 5 489.81 ____ 554 578.08 _____ BOINC Synergy
6 ________ 9 ____ 4 581.74 ____ 413 174.07 _____ SETI@Netherlands

The production, as shown by RAC is not correct: in the last 5 days Team Anandtech has produced more than 10 000 credits a day, but the RAC does not reflect this until after 10 - 12 days, due to the way the RAC is calculated.

I agree Peter, let's get it on!

And thx for the stats! :beer,

Yip, TAS is doing it again. I hope some TASers continue with Malaria in the BOINC month so we can keep on kickin' some "rear ends" ;)

Now, is that a coincidence that you increased you production (from average 200 to 600), Peter, or is there somebody who doesn't want to lose a race? ;):beer:

Well, as you know the RAC is calculated on a long term basis ... and I dumped four computers' results because they lost their internet connection. You are still ahead of me in RAC though, and I am still crunching Seti (where I dumped 2300 credits) and SIMAP (added 300) and the last few Rosetta-WUs (added 57 credits) ...
And not to forget the Rectilinear Crossing Numbers (166 credits) ... ;) - alltogether an production of 3400 credits or so - a reasonably good day. :D

If you plot my increase in RAC over time you will see a steady increase since July 9 ... and that wil not change, I hope...

Here are the current stats in the micro-race between BlackMountainCow and Petrusbroder:

Team
Rank __ Credits (+ credits since start) ____ RAC (+ RAC since start) _____ Name
7 ______ 18 282.66 (+ 1 552.91) _________ 356.99 (+ 114.45) __________ petrusbroder
8 ______ 11 081.44 (+ 2 101.50) _________ 492.32 (+ 155.54) __________ Christian Diepold

Well, BMC produced more in matters of credits and in matters of RAC ... now who is leading the race? In my eyes it is BMC! who has produced more and faster ... There is a chance that BMC will catch-up petrusbroder in about 14 days, unless Petrus increases production ... :) :p

@Peter:

Thx for the great stats man, I really appreciate that. You know, the mini race is a nice thing, but I know you could outproduce me in no time, so it's more for the fun of it.

( But the dark side in me just wants to beat Peter in the race and pass him before the month is over  )

Why is that "the dark side"? It is the fun - and I expect a drop in production because MalariaControl does not like to co-habitate with other projects with longer-creunching WUs (such as Seti and Einstein) :( So my comps will not get fed with suffieciently manu Malaria WUs until some seti WUs are crunched. Which is not too bad considering that I am trying to help in that race too. ;)

I experience the same thing. 4 of my PCs are dedicated to Malaria only and get plenty of WUs. But on my main rig I suspended a CPDN and a CPDN SA WU for the race. Since I did that, I probably only get about half a days work of WU for that X2. But there's no way I can crunch the CPDN/CPDN SA WUs, they still have about 2 weeks/4 months left of crunching.

Do you know if there's any talk about that problem on the Malaria forums?

Yes, Christian, I will put TANPAKU on the september-poll.

Todays stats on the micro-race:

7 ________ 19 705.25 (+ 1 422.59 credits) _____ 454.95 (+ _97.96 credits) _____ petrusbroder
8 ________ 13 173.10 (+ 2 091.66 credits) _____ 638.43 (+ 146.11 credits) _____ BlackMountainCow

BMC has again produced more credits and has a higher output: the difference in production is around 600 credits/day. Petrus considers his options - cut down on other projects?

BMC is gaining steadily on petrus - will he have time to catch up before the month is over? The prognosis says yes --- but will he be able to maintain his production? A heat wave is coming up in southern Germany, and a private heat wave for BMC too - only 15 days left ...

Actually I won't pass you, no matter what. I'll leave here around the 26th towards my hometown (there's some sort of celebration coming I need to attend ;) ) and thus will have to shut down the whole fleet on the 26th. Even with my 2,500 creds pending I won't be able to pass you by then. So I can already declare MalariaControl and you the winner of the race

From the Rosetta site:

A note from David Baker: We desperately need as much CPU power as possible for the next two weeks--there are more than 25 CASP targets due, including some that are our best shots at really high resolution models. Frustratingly, we won't be able to do anywhere near as much sampling as we had planned for these proteins as there are so many coming due near the same time, and thus can't really expect the accuracy we had hoped for. So if it is at all possible for you to increase your rosetta@home cpu time for the next two weeks please do--it will make a huge difference for our collective efforts!

I'm not sure if I should decrease my Malaria production and help those guys for two weeks or not. What do you think Peter?

I'm sorry Peter, but we'll have to continue the race another day. :(

I set the fastest 4 of my PCs to no new work for Malaria and will switch them to Rosey for the rest of the month. I mean, if they ask for CPU power like that, I really think that they deserve it. Only my PIII 600 stays on Malaria because it's our TAS project for the month.

:)

OK, Christian, thats no problem. :D
You won anyhow in production and RAC - I won in total credits. Could we say that we are both happy?  for you and  for me.

I'll add one of my comps to the Rosetta@home project.

Just to let you all know: Team Anandtech is now (with a large margin) the top producer in MalariaControl:
1 ____ TeAm AnandTech _______ 11,380.44 (RAC)
2 ____ L'Alliance Francophone ____ 9,910.86 (RAC)
