I voted for NanoHive without knowing anything about it, which is the same way I vote in national elections. What can I say? I'm a creature of habit.

Question about forum etiquette: I posted this on the TAS site also. Is this a no-no?

Thats totally OK, as long as you have fun! :)

The aims of TAS:

- Increase TeAm AnandTech's participation and production in projects.
- Introduce people to projects they're no so familiar with.
- Have LOTS of fun!
- Establish TeAm AnandTech as a major player in all that is DC.

Hi again, guys--

I planned to rework one of my PCs this month to correct a corrupted OS, to add a water block to my X1900, to change some wiring around, and to troubleshoot a possible memory glitch. So I've set it to "No more work" to close out Rosetta by Sunday.

I'd like to know to what time do we synchronize our watches. 12am UTC on the 1st? Or something else? Should I be locked and loaded before this time?

You guys have more fire power than I do, so maybe you can give me a head start? :kidding;

There's nothing like a realy synchronized strike, as we all live in different time zones. I will draw the finishing stats for Proteins@Home AND the starting stats for NanoHive@Home (or Peter) at midnight European Central Time of the 31st. But by then, I will already have some machines on NanoHive@Home. So, don't worry about the headstart, just do whatever floats your boat. :)

Thanks, I'm looking forward to the crunch!

Edit: When I signed up, I mistakenly checked the daylight savings box, so my forum time is one hour later. Is there a way I can fix this?

I just checked the your account via the admin section, but I can't change it from there. But you can change it yourself: Go to "my controls", options, "board settings". :)

Thanks, BMC!

I noticed my initial title is noob, so I thought I'd ask some noob questions rather than look them up.

If I only did one month's crunching, would I be considered an apprentice noob? Or perhaps a noob intern?

Hehe, nope, only 10 posts on the TAS forum are needed and you'll become a "DC member", 100 for an "Advanced DC Member", 500 for an "Super DC Member" and 1000 for the "Elite DC Member". :p

But I like that apprentice noob so much, that you now bear the honor of a custom TAS forum title: Apprentice DC Noob
