Got mine from BustBuy (I have bunch of BB gift cards to use) for $16.99 after 110% PM. There is an optional recharge cradle available. Don't know how much it costs though.

In short - no.

Two things CAN glow blue:
1. The "receiver" (not too big) plugs into your USB port and when a signal is received (when you move the mouse around), there is a blue LED inside the receiver that will light up.

2. There is a blue LED near the mouse's scroll wheel that lights up indicating a low battery. (I have yet to see this, as I do not own it - a friend of mine does).

Other than that, it just is a regular mouse with a red LED for the optical feature.

Hope that helps!

As had already been emphasized, the hottest deal is the PAUN005 with wireless optical mouse with scroll.

This thing weights in at 106 grams with 2 AA battery. And the mouse uses red diodes as the optical elements. The blue leds are for indicators only, namely receiving signals and low battery indicators.

The weight is pretty heavy and the size is pretty small, I got basketball player kind of hand, but in any case its slightly better then using the synaptic pad on a notebook.

Keep in mind that this thing have a range of only 1 meter, 3 feet. So dont expect too much from it. Otherwise its very good for traveling use. It will even work on the notebook surface itself. ROFLOL. The blue light goes very well with the ze4101's blue leds. Looks like Christmas is here...ops blue light and Christmas !!!!

Remember to grab some rechargeble batteries too. And you will be set for a long long time.

BTW: Transmission rate for this baby is 4kbps.

I have no idea whether this is fast or slow. And how well it will do in games. I gonna try it in WC3.

IF this thing had the forward and back button then I would have emptied the whole shelf. About 20 of them, and wrap them with gift wraps and christmass shopping is over. :) BIG TIME

I got in on this deal... i had someone scan the price for me prior to purchase.

I am using the mouse now. OMFG, this is the worst POS mouse I have ever used. And i have dozens of them ranging from serial to usb. the tracking is horrible, and the range is non existent. not only that, the button presses hardly ever register. this is with the included GP batteries, and GP is one of the leading battery manufacturers. the computer is a compaq armada e500. i have used this with and without the "adapter" for the reciever, and I have also moved the mouse closer to the receiver.

I'll let you guys know if the tracking\button problems disappear.

changed batteries, problem persists /edit1

I also noticed an issue with the clicking the mouse. I had to go to mouse properties and make it very slow. Not sure how much I like it at this point. My kids had difficulty getting the mouse to click on objects. I'll watch it -- hopefully it is better now.

Mday: Do you have alot of RF devices around your computer? Like wireless remote control, WIFI ect? Or are you using your mouse on a metal table? Or is it the wireless phone? I am using this baby on my wooden tablen and it works nicely, range is like a meter nothing more and nothing less. And I dont have tracking problems, the left and right buttons are pretty stiff though and that brings to me that this mouse is not for kids younger then 7 I guess. You got to press hard in order for the button to depress. And when it does I will immediately see a blue blimp on the reciever.

In anycase, I have to tell you that this mouse is not made to be used across the room. Rather as a convenient replacement for the touch pad while you are traveling. Its also not for gaming either. I tried it on WC3, UT2003 and got frag easily.

And if you are having problems with the mouse moving or receiving clicks, press the tiny button on the receiver and wait for the blue light to stop blinking and by then you should get your secure connection between you receiver and your mouse. BTW, I am using it with a laptop too and I didnt have to even install any software, matter of fact the usual Window has detected a new device message DID NOT even show up. I just plug it in and press the button on the receiver and then let it work.

Further more after a long period of no use, the mouse will turn itself off. And in order for you to reactivate it, you will have to press the button on the receiver and hold it for like a second or 2 before you will get the blinking blue led. Make sure that when you press the button on the receiver, your mouse is inactive, that is your mice's red led is off, if its on press the button at the bottom of the mouse to inactivate it and then press the button on the receiver. Then the blue led on the receiver will start to blink otherwise it will not.

Hope that helps. Good luck to those with problems. And thanks for the hot deal again, been waiting for a wireless optical mouse and I finally got it for 19.99 YESSSSSSSs

Yeah I really play UT2003. I play it on the notebook and on the desktop. But I am no experts. But I do aim pretty well. Anyway I just reread the manual of the mouse again and found this

Mouse carrier frequency is 27MHz.

Is that the refresh rate or the frequency that the radio signal is at?

g8man: where did you get the information to set to channel 2?

All I see is that in order to establish a connection link for the RF mouse is to press and release the link button on the bottom of the mouse, then press and release the link button on the receiver. Thats it.

No one can be an expert of UT2002, I mean no one. Believe me.

The game does not exist.

Wei2Cool: LOL I am such a klutz. And I really have no ideal how I remembered it as 2002 instead of 2003....well, all I can say is that right now is year 2002.

Anyway how is your mouse?

I just manage to get my mouse to work at about 2.5 meters away from my notebook. I am so much more pleased.

You are lucky. My employer only reimburses $.30/mile :(

Your accounant must be screwing you. There's guidelines they have to follow for that. I get .345/mi too. It varies from year to year.

I'll try it on my TabletPC tonight. Thats what I bought this mouse for. So far I am happy with it except the right clicking. I guess if I change a channel it will go away. My compter at work is under my desk and I hate to work in the dark.

i used to have a logitech wireless mouse and that was how the channel was set.....it worked for me..

TROUBLESHOOTING tip: do not connect receiver to a usb hub
