I bought the fat ps3 160gb Uncharted edition for $400 last month. Brought it home, opened the box, looked at the unit to see if its as shinny as I read online, placed it on the table, and left it alone until now. The included game and other cables have not been opened or even removed from the box yet. Today I decided that I want to return it, seeing that I haven?t even touched it and likely won?t have time to play with it in the near future. Brought it back to the target store and was told ?no go, opened box means no return.? Doesn?t matter if it was used or not. So I took it back feeling kind of dumb. Then I looked at the policy again, it does say returns must be new and unused and some opened items like games and cd/dvds are not returnable. It doesn?t say an opened console is not returnable. So I called another store and was then told to bring it back for a return if its within 90 days?so now I will try my chances again in a different store but I was curious if anybody else had any similar return experiences?and I think I can return items to a store other than the one purchased from, right??

thanks

Yes you can return Target purchases to any Target store. Sounds like you won't have a problem returning it at the second store you called.

I dont think I've any had problems buying from one store and having to return an item at a different one - so long as it is within the conditions of the return policy.

For what it is worth, I returned a Lego set that I purchased at a Target in Australia to a Target in the US.

For all our other faults, America still leads the world in toys.
Given the average Americans attitude about resposibility, duty, humility and work ethic, I'm thinking we shouldnt be so proud of our ability to goof off anymore. Perhaps that was fine back in the 50's and 60's, but the 70's should have taught us something.
Guess the current recession isnt helping either.
