The sex you have doesn't define your orientation. Men having sex in prison aren't suddenly all gay. A closeted married gay man who only has had sex with women isn't straight.

So, does this mean that a gay person who never has sex isn't gay? What the hell are you getting at? I use an oversimplification and you idiots decide to go full retard. Gay or straight is about sex. Whether or not you are having it doesn't make a difference. But that doesn't mean that its still not about sex.

A man telling you that they have a girlfriend tells you as much about their sexual orientation as a man telling you that they have a boyfriend, don't you think?

If they decide to put it that way, sure. But that doesn't mean they are the same thing. Plenty of ways to divulge relationship status without telling someone you are straight or gay. That's what's great about keeping things vague. If you say you are married, what does that mean in regards to sexual orientation. Nothing, and that's great for those who don't care to let everyone know that. Plenty of people out there like that.

When you want people to know your sexual orientation, you will. But that doesn't mean you have to just to let people know you are in a relationship.

Yeah, I'm a homophobe for questioning why a store would honestly want to display/sell a particular kind of merchandise. Can you do any better than that or is that all you have to offer?
I was more questioning your sexuality really...

Why are you talking about keeping things vague, is this something you advocate? Do you think that heterosexual people shouldn't reveal their sexual orientation, even if it's to admit that they have a partner of the opposite gender, or say refer to them by name or by a title (e.g. boy/girlfriend, wife/husband)?

No, but some individuals who don't prefer to be attention whores do love anonymity, regardless of their orientation.

What is the purpose of revealing sexual orientation to everyone, regardless of what it is? Think about that for a second. Then ask why that. Why not reveal other personal things too?

That's the conclusion of your statement, not mine. Oversimplification would be a rather generous term for inaccurate in this case.

Yeah, because saying sexual orientation and sexual activity are both about sex is inaccurate.

Where is the "I'm 44 times more likely to get aids because I'm gay" T shirts? Did they forget to put those out or something? #takepride #getaids

it's to the right of the shirt with that says "I post incorrect and irrelevant statistics on internet forums"

Good for you...question away to your heart's content.

OK.

Do you always think about men having sex together when you see a rainbow tee-shirt?

Do you see yourself as a participant or are you just an onlooker?
Do you feel disgusted with yourself when you have these uncontrollable fantasies or do you find them exciting?

How long have you been having these fantasies and have they always made you angry?

You live in a reality the rest of us don't seem to inhabit.

Some person: Oh are you married?

Me: Yes.

Some person: What's her name?

Me: Bob

Some person: OMG your flaunting your gayness in front of me how dare you!

No, that would be you. If someone asks a question like that, they need to be ready for the answer. If that person is offended, that's their problem, not the problem of the person they asked.

When someone is out plainly displaying their sexual orientation, that isn't the same as me asking what the name of their spouse (there I go again with vague) is. False equivalence found.

And I'm the homophobe? Your use of being gay as an attempt at an insult is quite telling. Sorry, no, your fantasies aside, this doesn't happen when I see a shirt.

And I'm the homophobe?
Are you?

Do you think that it's related to your uncontrolled fantasies about man sex every time someone with a different sexuality is brought to your attention?

Why is it that these fantasies bring about such negative feelings in you?

Do you recognise any of the people in your fantasies or are they just faceless, sweating, thrusty bodies?

Being "vague" in the real world works for about two seconds with anyone who you're having a conversation with or you just come off as an antisocial weirdo (absent the option of lying).

I wonder if this is an offshoot of the dimension where people never have personal conversations that I've also heard about here.

You are a one trick pony. All you can do is fantasize about me. I'm really not interested. You bore me.

Again, conversation isn't the same as putting yourself on display. Sorry, but this thread is about the latter. Go make another thread if you want to discuss the former. Otherwise, here is some light reading:

Not sure what this has to do with anything, but anyway, moving on.

Do I need to explain the nature of conversation to you, and that most human beings tend to engage in it quite often amongst friends and acquaintances, and why they tend to do that?

You asked about my vague references. I gave you one reason for them, that's all.

Do I need to explain the nature of conversation to you, and that most human beings tend to engage in it quite often amongst friends and acquaintances, and why they tend to do that?

Do I have to explain false equivalence to you as well? This thread isn't about conversation. And if it was, no you don't need to explain anything.
