Where is the "I'm 44 times more likely to get aids because I'm gay" T shirts? Did they forget to put those out or something? #takepride #getaids

Gay marriage could help promote more monogamous relationships in the gay community, helping to lower the AIDS risks.

Look I think this kind of stuff is great but why do we have to have certain people's sexuality shoved in ours and ours kids faces?

Yeah we should get rid of all those nasty hetrosexuals pushing their straight agenda onto our children. Wont somebody think of the children?

When the basis for your entire movement is all about who you are screwing I'd say the sexual content is pretty obvious. Let me know when Target puts heteropride or bestialitypride or even poligamypride displays out.

Well. Maybe 1% of the people walking in the door may buy it. If that's how they want to do business. That's their option. To me, it seems like a poor business choice. But maybe that "image" thing is more important than revenue.

It is absolutely about image, just like their gun policy. They announce it but won't enforce it. Tells you all you need to know about Target. Image is all that matters.

The basis of the movement being that millions of people have made other peoples' lives a misery because of the gender they prefer to have sex with.

The only logically valid way of arguing that there's "sexual content" involved in such a discussion would be to say that hetero people sometimes shove their sexuality in other peoples' faces by mentioning that they have a boy/girlfriend or that they're married or have had children. If you want to advocate that, that's entirely up to you, but most people consider it to be a pretty innocent factoid to mention their relationship status in conversation, and as such they wouldn't expect to be given a kicking and/or disparaged in a number of ways for it.

That is a fallacy. Relationships usually breed monogamy, marriage is not required.

What is the purpose of marriage, in your opinion?

I always thought that the homophobe=repressed homosexual thing was bollocks but if all you can think of is sweaty, thrusty man sex every time you think of the gay pride movement maybe there's something in it. :hmm:

I don't think you understand. Gay people are part of that classification simply because of who they have sex with. The entire Gay Pride movement is about who is screwing who. How do you have a movement based on sex without sex?

Mentioning relationship status has nothing to do with mentioning your sexual orientation, and you damn well know that.

Yeah, I'm a homophobe for questioning why a store would honestly want to display/sell a particular kind of merchandise. Can you do any better than that or is that all you have to offer?

Are you not able to distinguish the difference between sexual activity and sexual orientation?

Are you not able to recognize both involve sex or more accurately sexuality? So how is sexual content devoid from either?

But ok, I'll play. One is about who you prefer to screw while the other is about who you actually screw.

The sex you have doesn't define your orientation. Men having sex in prison aren't suddenly all gay. A closeted married gay man who only has had sex with women isn't straight.

So does that mean that old people who've stopped having sex are no longer homosexual or heterosexual? After all, if gay is a classification because of who you have sex with, it would follow that straight is also a classification because of who you have sex with. And if you are no longer having sex, then you can be neither gay nor straight (or bi, trans, etc).

Or maybe you're just a moron... Yeah, I'm gonna go with that one.

Just because it should be accepted doesn't mean it needs to be flaunted or marketed. Sorry, the poll didn't ask that. I have no problem with gay people (I have a gay sibling), just like I have no problem with straight people. In either case, I don't give a shit and I don't think you need to advertise either.

I'd also like to introduce you to the concept of the multi quote. You can respond to 3 separate posts without yourself needing to make 3 separate posts. What a concept!

So its full retard then? Well, that didn't take long.

Sexual orientation or sexual activity...both involve sexuality. No one cares about your sexuality other than you and your partner.

A man telling you that they have a girlfriend tells you as much about their sexual orientation as a man telling you that they have a boyfriend, don't you think?
