Target.com... Killer toaster oven for 49.99

Looks cool for some things (and the price is right) but I'd read some of the Epinions about this to get a better idea of what you're in for (as in limited cooking space, pre-heat time, etc.) However, with all that in mind, everyone who wrote an opinion likes it.

Still Alive!
Went to two Raleigh b/m Targets last night. First was oos, second had three priced at $49.99.

In between I went to Sears to possibly pricematch. Oos, but priced at only 54.99, and had a sign saying more stock to arrive soon.

Just got mine the other day. Tried putting a little frozen pizza inside to test it out. Wow, great results! Came out crunchy, evenly cooked, without any burns, all in 8 minutes. My old toaster oven would take a little longer than that but would always create burnt edges with the inside still a bit cold.

I was under the impression that this convection oven could kill 😕. O well back to drawing board...

Can everyone else who bought this provide some opinions/reviews....I've seen this many times at Target, but I'm always wondering if it works well. TIA 🙂

If you live in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana or Illinios, you can check out Meijer store, the convection oven is 49.99

i went to target to get this last night and on the way to the counter i saw a black & decker toaster oven for $44.99 it has temperture settings on it so i got that one instead. i tried it out and it's great. it isn't as big as the toastmaster ultravection oven so u can place it easily, but it doesn't look as cool. the black & decker one is white.

sorry a dumb Q: can I use it to heat left over foods? I don't really like to use microwave to heat food -- it always has icy spots, and unbalanced.

Well, I've had mine for a couple of days now so I can give a little review of it.

The unit is very well constructed and easy to operate.
The front loading basket is different than the regular toaster ovens but once you get used to it is actually much better.
The tray itself is deep and large I bet I could cook a small chicken in here no problem. Also the tray and grease pan are dishwasher safe top rack.

It has three heating cycles :

Turbo which all 3 fans run circulating the super~heated air
Brown which runs just 2 of the fans.
& a Crisping function which only runs one fan and really does a great job on frozen fries.
There is also a frozen pizza mode button preprogramed for a cycle of turbo and crisp/brown combo.

I made frozen fries in 7 minutes that tasted like deep fried (but much better for you! 🙂 )
I heated a frozen Canneloni dinner in 8 mins 7 on turbo then one on crisp which came out great.
I've made gralic roasted french bread that was crispy and not dried out in 2 mins 1 turbo then 1 crisp.
I've reheated a slice of pizza 3 mins. 2 turbo 1 brown. Came out great as well.

All in all if you can get past the looks of it, (it does kinda look like it belongs in an office not your home kitchen) and you allow yourself time with an open mind to get used to the basket and controls you'll love this oven.

I'd recomend it to anyone who wants to cook their meals quickly but still want convection heating results in there meals.

I think I'll keep mine.
