I was at my local Target (Tacoma) and picked up a 47 pc dinnerware set for $8.47. I think mine was a return because there were other boxes of the same pattern for $13.xx.

There were a few more patterns on sale but since I didn't really Need dishes I went for for the most bang/buck.

Are these made of really heavy material that shatters easily, or are they the thinner material (can't think of the name of that stuff the make dinnerware out of).

Sounds crazy cheap. Target has a clearance section on their website and you can even use coupons that can be found at the better coupon sites.

Just a reminder that Target clearance is priced store by store. What is on clearance at one store may not be at another or may not be clearanced at the same price and they don't price match to each other. Many times an item that is on clearance at some store may be clearanced at others at different dates, so it pays to keep an eye on things you know are clearanced elsewhere.

I went to target over the weekend and didn't see any 47 piece dinner sets. The largest they had was 32 piece sets. Definitely YMMV deal. But thanks for the heads up, OP!
