Taping TechTV interview Friday May 10th 2002

TechTV is coming this Friday to tape an interview for an upcoming show. Donna is taking a half day off from work to be here for the taping. I will let everyone know when the show will be aired. We don't get TechTV on our cable system here so just as someone taped the show during the ordeal and it was posted on the website, we will need someone to record it this time as well.

Of course, I must wait to see if I will be going to see my fiancee in Colorado on Friday first...I'm working on postponing that trip a week 🙂

Hey don't laugh, I was actually thinking I wished I had an appropriate baseball cap to wear, say with the TeAm logo. That blinding area on top of my head where most people have hair blinds all cameras so maybe you won't really see me 🙂

I'm actually trying to help Narzy out in securing vendors for such things as hats with the TeAm Logo for the store and such, just wish I had one now, maybe I can do something like an iron on with the Ink printer?

I think I have a very nice Team Anandtech baseball cap I could loan you. I sent you an email about it. I could overnight it tomorrow, and it should get there around 10:30am Friday morning. I don't know if that will work or not, but I can do it if you want!

I'm doing it for you guys (and gals). Yes, I'm sure they realize it could have happened to anybody, the story is really about what everybody did and because this anybody belonged to Team Anandtech and TA is part of a strong international Internet Community that really became strong because of it. Just happened that "anybody" had my name attached to it.

I will have the Barbeque out back fired up with burgers when everyone arrives and they said the film crew will film whoever doesn't mind being on Camera. I wish you all lived here in Atlanta.

OK, i want to see this! i don't live in the US so there is no chance of seeing it anyway! So if noone puts it on computer (and in decent quality 😛) then i will be very upset! It will be cool to actually hear and see the legend that is David McOwen! 😀

And, regarding the tshirt idea, myself and a few friends did some transfers onto Tshirts for the P.O.D. concert we went to last week! They worked really well and looked cool! They will work on other colours than white, as there were a couple of girls there who had the logo on green tank tops! Only problem they had was when they put the tops on and they stretched, the transfer started to peel. But i don't think you'll have that problem 😉

Did I miss the specific info on when and what program this interview will take place. I have satellite and TIVO so I can definitely record it although I do not know how to convert the recording into anything but a VCR tape. Sort of a shame because TIVO is really just a computer so the programs it records are already in a form that is computer friendly but I don't know how to access them. 🙁

Need the time and program info, Dave. 😉
