Tapeworm eggs

We let our dog sleep on our bed from time to time. While I was watching tv I noticed some sesame seed looking things on the top of the sheet. They looked a bit like egg sacs so I googled it.

Sure enough. Tapeworms

Now I can't shake the feeling that things are crawling on me.

Our dog is vaccinated. He had a heartworm test just 1 month ago (negative) but I guess they don't test for tapeworms (???).

Luckily they only are a problem if you swallow a flea that has swallowed the thing that comes out of the egg. I know our house doesn't have fleas (dog is on treatment) because I get eaten alive by fleas.

I would never make our dog sleep outside. He is much happier inside with us, I am sure his tapeworms are much more comfortable as well.
