What's the purpose of using the app in a tablet when you can simply open the website in Chrome and browse?
I mean, I can see Tapatalk makes sense for phones. But tablets? not so much...

Worth a check out, I don't like tapatalk on my nexus 7, easier to just use chrome. Can't seem to open the file though, not sure why.

I'd like to see them do something like Pressly, as a web app.

tapatalk seems to use a lot less bandwidth so any time you have a poor connection it's better.

heck it even has the mod tools built in so i can ban fools from the bus.

Have you allowed unofficial apps to be installed? It's a checkbox in settings > security on most devices.

I find Tapatalk to be much faster than using the browser. Tablet optimized is a move in the right direction.

I have for iOS and absolutely hate it. I use the regular version, just works better for me. The tried to make it fancy and they just made it hard to use. I much prefer tapatalk over the websites.

Using it now on my tablet.. only downside is that there's no night mode. Not used to all this "white" on my screen

Sure there is. Just change the theme.

Then it's nice and dark.

Yes, checked that after it wouldn't open but it still doesn't open. Maybe I have to reboot for it to take effect?

Sorry. People have been flipping between referencing HD vs standard. You're right, this is not HD. I shall compare the two as the normal iPad version is more than fine.

Decided it wanted to install today. Its much better than the normal one , but it had better include portrait mode as I can't type worth anything in landscape. Be nice to check it out once they get out of beta, nice start though. Still doesn't display as much as the web browser which limits the amount of scrolling I need to do.

Slower tablets do much better with dedicated apps than browsing the web.
Also if you are on several forums its actually a little easier.
