And then when I click it to go away, for the millionth time, there is a page error in place of the proper link I was trying to access telling me it's an invalid thread specified, please contact the administrator.

So here I am, contacting and stuff.

I have tried multiple browsers, and get a similar annoying effect, too.

Any suggestions? And why is it trying to force itself on me, over and over, like some cheap 2 dolla ho?

I just checked this on my iPhone and I can't reproduce the problem. What device/browser are you using?
 
I got a TapaTalk promo high jacking my browser before Windows phone latest update. Now I get something trying to get permission to download. I assume it is still TapaTalk. The browser high jack had something about Anandtech has an app (TapaTalk) for my browser. Something to that effect.
