After work, I stopped over at CompUSA to pick up that $9.99 (after rebate) wireless router and when the guy rang me up, he said, "Since this is on 24/7, would you like to buy our service plan -- it's only $8.99 for 2 years. If anything goes wrong you can just bring it in and we'll replace it".
I replied, "No thanks".
And the guy stared at me for a long time and said, "You sure?"
And I said, "yes".
Then he rang me up and put a big stamp, "TAP Declined" on my receipt and said, "this won't affect your rebates...".
Now, I'm wondering if it is some kind of secret code to the rebate handlers to reject my rebates...
