I ordered an Intel E8400 yesterday (sunday) in the afternoon 3/30 from tankguys and used Google checkout. $209 +reasonable shipping. I had a tracking number and shipping notice within 4 hours on a fricking weekend which really impressed me. They show a solid 10 on resellers ratings. You can't beat that.

One other thing, I tthought I saw a one year warranty for the E8400 OEM on the Tankguys website but check before you buy, OEM warranties usually are 3 months.

I ordered mine on 3/29 in the afternoon, still haven't gotten anything.

Your e-mail address may be incorrect in our database, or it was blocked by a SPAM filter. PM me your order # and I'll check it out - you should have your tracking number by now.

another reason why i say support vendors who are also members!

I loved my dealing with them. They had a guy on forums who gave folks a heads up on steppings and bent over backwards for Customer service.

edit: LoL, didnt notice there was a page two. Look 2 and/or 4 posts above mine.

Got my Q9450 from Tankguys last Friday-- works perfect!
I was on the preorder list for 2 months and got this from them as soon as they rec'd them!

I am very happy with this company and would recommend to anyone!

Oh they will be trickling in over the next few days/weeks. We have *very* small numbers arriving pretty frequently. I think the next round is scheduled for the 3rd, IIRC.

i see your getting more in tomorrow. If i was to order one now would that guarantee I would get one??

ps its ok if you dont respond in time

Of the Q9450 I presume? Yes, you'd get one. Assuming, of course, that lots of people don't order before you read this 😀 Also, the order will ship Monday, not today. We're so busy with orders right now that same day shipping is typically not happening.

I'd like to throw another vote in for TankGuys. I've made two purchases from them (an Opteron 165 and a Xeon 3110) and both orders went very smoothly. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them again.

I tried to make an order there today but there was an error with google checkout. I emailed and heard nothing back. Guess if I don't hear back soon i'll just cancel and order elsewhere.

You didn't create an account, did you? That's the problem, most likely. Don't worry, if you ordered, it's being taken care of. PM me your name/order number and I can get you the tracking number if you like.

E-mail responses are a tad slow today in some cases, we're pretty backed up 😀 It was most likely an error with Google Checkout itself, I'd give it another shot. We haven't had any problems with our site all day, lots of orders going through without any issue 😉

seriously, I don't understand why all the major online stores don't have reps for forums like this. Ben from TankGuys, Yellowbeard from corsair, and byronm from moogr.com are the only 3 that I know of that frequent our site and are readily available. Sites like newegg, clubit, etc are great, but it's nice to see people on our forums be able to have a part recommended to them and then get cust service right here. 🙂

TG and crew are top notch. I've ordered a couple things here and there from them, with the latest being an E8400 that I'm running at 4.05Ghz with 1.26V 24hr Orthos stable. Woot!

Saw they had the q9450 retail in stock about noon, by 1pm i had order shipping prep confirmation, bloody fastest ive ever seen that. By this evening it was fully prepped to ship on monday.

I'm not going to submit another order until this one either gets cancelled or is corrected. I logged into google checkout as soon as I got the error and GC is working fine.

EDIT: I just placed another order but left a note to cancel the 1st one.

I remember TankGuys all the way back from the Opteron 14x craze. 😀 No problems. 🙂

I ordered my retail Q9450 on a Monday it shipped on Tuesday and arrived on Thursday(shipped via ground i believe) I would order from them again.

Thats part of my project for cases and cooling. Im trying to invite the vendors on the cooling side to bring a line like this in hopes to promote c and c more. .

So so far,

theres also john from jab-tech.

Alex from petra.

im trying to get hank from performance-pcs to join as well. 😀

PS. hank used to be an anandtech mod from what he's told me 😀

It makes it easier on us to recomend, if theres a rep on the forum who we can ask incase something goes wrong.

I will talk to Hank tomorrow if you want me to, I talk to him all day. Him and Tanguys are some of my favorite customers. 😀

Sooo - I may have been the one that drop-shipped your procs to you fellas. 😉

Ben call me an Intel Ninja, for my ability to dig up rare, new Intel parts.

Ben is one of my favorite clients - and look forward to helping him, and the OC community.

Hook me up with Alex from Petra! 😀
