Wow, that is a pretty good deal. This lens looks like a good performer, given its limitations (aperture and extreme zoom range). There is lots of barrel distortion at 18mm, which is to be expected, but that is correctable. A bit of chromatic aberration, but that is also correctable somewhat, and it's not overwhelming to begin with. And the sharpness is not bad at all for a lens of this zoom range. I think this would be a great upgrade from a kit lens at this price!
 
Thanks for post but I don't see any reference to Nikon in the listing page. It mentions Canon EOS
