Suspected Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev not only had a wife, Katherine Russell, but a daughter, 3-year-old Zahara. Zahara, who may be completely unaware what happened to her father, who was killed in a shootout with Boston police, is staying with her mother and grandparents in Rhode Island. By now, she may be wondering where daddy is, considering that she hasn't seen him since Friday night at the latest, and he was reportedly her main caretaker. The New York Daily News staked out the Russell home and snapped pics of the toddler with her grandmother, which is. So. Wrong.

Zahara has become news by way of her notorious father -- and she'll have to live with this forever. Her name will forever be associated with his. We have no idea how that might affect her in the future.

So even though the Daily News blotted out her face, it's still wrong to drag a toddler into this media mess...

People trying to get a pic of a baby (or little kid in this case) is nothing new, not even remotely. Every time some 'celebrity' has a baby people try to get photos. Heck, in many cases the (celebrity) parent will sell them for big bucks.

I attribute this to the fact that too many folk have no real life of their own, that they feel worthless inwardly, and don't realize it. They look to something outside to fill the void that can only be filled by proper self respect, and by that I don't mean egotism. I see this as the root of folk who live vicariously and we are legion.

Yes, that is one level of vulture-like behavior. Linking a toddler to a notorious murderer in the media is on another level.
