Im looking to purchase a LCD which would be the opposite of a widescreen but i guess would be called "Tallscreen"?(taller then it is wider) does anyone know of such a product?

My reason is its primary use would be to use with spread sheets and programming.

thanks in advance

ummm.... most higher end 17" and larger LCD's have a rotate mode that changes the screen orientation to top and bottom.

no problemo.

Like Gunf1ther said many LCDs support portrait and landscape modes. However you will need SW that also rotates your OS 90 degrees. The most popular SW is from portrait displays, the key is to make certain the SW supports the OS you are using. Often this SW comes with the monitor.

Many new LCDs come with a "Pivot" software, two I have experience with: Planar PV174 and Samsung 171S, but there are many others.
Also make sure that you can actually rotate the LCD in place, which all of the ones that come with the Pivot software do...

I recently tried Visual C++ programming in portrait mode - I am never going back (number of lines on the screen)
