i was at one of my favorite sites just now, and all of a sudden this banner ad started talking to me about how they can speed up my computer.

ads are one thing. talking ads are just going to far.

i just muted my computer. but this is getting out of hand.
 
yes, I think ads should not force users to become active and attempt to mute them. they should be passive unless the user wants to do something with it.
