If you have a Facebook account for anything other than laughing at the people who post personal information on the internet, you have lost the game.

Ehh ... I hate when people can't put down their "connection" and just relax and hang out ....

Me too... I'm never totally disconnected, but I'm in no rush EVER to stay completely connected to the world. If my phone dies, I don't have a panic attack. It's dead until it gets charged again..

I also care a lot less about all the latest gossipy shit that is going on in the world. It doesn't effect me personally, so why bother?

If the only thing a friend and I can talk about is sports and tv shows, we don't have much of a friendship. Current events could go either way...real current events are positive IMO. US Weekly current events are negative.

When all you've got to talk about is pop culture and what's the latest on facebook it's when you realize you have nothing to offer the world.

some people are reading between the lines. What I am referring to are people who have 0 curiosity in world events including facebook, etc. Like people who didnt even know that 9-11 happened...

I am connected but don't use social networking at all. I don't own a facebook so I guess I'm not cool. I haven't even played Farmville.

It takes maybe 15 seconds to relay the gist of any story you might want to discuss with them that you read online. Sounds to me like you are the boring one... here you are with all of your social networks and news sources, yet you still can't think of anything to discuss with someone who would find all of it interesting.

I committed web suicide recently. No more Facebook, linked in, etc. I kept my Twitter. For the most part I'm done with it.

Heh, same here. I'll read some Twitter on my phone if I'm stuck bored somewhere, but that's about it.

Face book, nope.

Network news, nope.

Twitter, not in a million years.

Spend my day's out in the sun, check.

Ride my bike whenever possible, check.

Annoyed by dweebs that don't know what life is, double check.

Yup, I'm disconnected

All this straw you're putting on me is making me itchy
