Talk daemon not cooperating.

I have just tried to install the talk daemon on my Red Hat 7.1 box. The install apparently went OK, but now when I try to use it with "talk user", it gives me "Error on read from talk daemon. Connection refused". It does this if I try to talk to anyone on the local machine. I have set the mesg y for everyone. I don't know what else to try.

Any ideas?
