That's just plain sick. The lawyer who took this case should be disbarred and the plaintiff needs to get run over by a train. Repeatedly.

I caught most of the new HBO doc on this case. This guy is a complete piece of shit, as was the wise and beautiful woman that killed those people

Though I agree that this lawsuit is in bad taste and probably baseless, one should never take the allegations stated in a civil complaint literally.

That being said, is there any reason to believe that the highway was poorly designed or lacked proper signs? Though she was drunk/high, is it possible that the design of the highway could have contributed to the accident? I am not familiar with the area.

It seems like most of it is your standard multi-lane divided highway. Not sure about all of it, would need to see a more specific area.

The guy is still a piece of shit though.

That people file cases like this doesnt bother me.
That judges let such nonsense into court makes me fucking insane.

Our system is set up to allow 99 b.s. cases in rather than have one real case not brought (in criminal, the system is set up to allow 99 guilty people go free rather than have one innocent person convicted).

It is not perfect, but, honestly, it ends up working pretty well.

And, again, do not take the language of the complaint literally.

If a judge actually allows this to see trail... He should be barred for life. Also fuck him, his wife and the lawyer he rode into town on.

It is not up to the judge to just throw out a case. The judge must follow the law (as well he should).

There are ways to get these cases dismissed, but they rarely are quick.
