Interesting comment I found on BBC's website:

"Isnt it hypocritical to print and reprint those deplorable cartoons which are offending to 1.25 billion muslims in the name of press freedom while the same free press censors or reacts violently over denial of jewish holoucaust, how would france feel if a good natzi sattire is drawn for them? Didnt the west became obnoxious when Iranians expressed doubt about holocaust?"

lmao at Jewish sensitivity and the 'freedom of expression'.

Calling it blasphemy presumes that I acknowledge the righteousness of your religion. Since I do not, what is blasphemy to you, is merely a cartoon to me (and to the rest of the world). It's semantics. Holocaust is fact. Enough said.

Calling it mass murder presumes I acknowledge the Jews in Holocaust werent guilty and punishable by death. Its all semantics. Hence, it is not a fact to me. Go Ahmednijad. :D

I guess you may need to let us know your reasoning to believe they were guilty of being punished by death.

That is not a requirement to the freedom of speech. Read the quote:
"Germany's Welt daily also printed one of the drawings on its front page on Wednesday, arguing that a "right to blasphemy" was anchored in democratic freedoms."

Quite a few things, but the most encompassing problem is his fundamentalist Islamic faith. Who has the quote in his sig from Sultan saying he would gladly kill his own children if they violated the Islamic law against adultery?

Do you have a hard time understanding English, or did you mistake this thread for bashing my beliefs?

Personally I don't think that one should shove his religious beliefs upon others, even if the others practice blasphemous acts. Your religion only applies to yourself.

i dont know if you are an ignorant clotpoll or if you are attmepting to play devils advocate. either way, this is absurd. if we assume that some people murdered during the holocaust deserved it (which is not something i really want to go ahead and do much in the same way that i would like to believe that everyone who died on 9/11 were generally nice people and were innocent of all crimes and absolved of any punishment. im willing to accept that brutal and inhuman treatment would pardon these people from any crimes they may have committed or any suffering they had caused in this world) we still can not, by those measures, assume that all of them deserved to die.
prefaced by the above and knowing full well that personal attacks are not allowed im still willing to call you a glib ass.
