I have a Beretta Tomcat in .32 ACP that is quite small and concealable. I can carry it in a pocket and it is undetectable.

I am planning on getting this pistol. Right now I have a cheap 9mm. A little big to carry around all the time.

I would also think about getting a .357 magnum revolver to carry when I have a jacket or something on, and can better conceal it. A decent sized barrel on it, too. Not huge, and not snub nose. I guess a medium sized one.

I've thought about getting that Taurus in .40. Right now I carry a 9mm S&W M&P Subcompact or my Kel-Tec P3At.

That Ruger looks like they took Kel-Tec's design and slapped their name on it.

Edit: Also if you look on the page you linked, you'll see the dimensions compared to the P3AT. The Ruger is slightly larger.

Its a .380 ACP about the smallest caliber you want for good stopping power. .380 is a a 38 caliber bullet with a smaller shell. So it has less power behind it than a regular .38.

The Millenium PT140 is hands down the best concealable firearm I've ever fired. The PT145 is just as good if you prefer .45s. Incredibly accurate, compact, balanced, durable...I can't say enough good about it. To top it off I got a deal on mine...brand new, 2 mags, $311.

Typically a .380 ACP is referred to as a 9mm short, or 9mm Kurtz. While a 9mm Luger bullet (the world's most popular handgun cartridge) measures 9x19mm, the 9mm Kurtz, or .380 ACP measures 9x18mm.

It is the caliber of choice in many countries where "military caliber" weapons are banned for civilian ownership.

In America, however, the. 380 ACP (as one of many calibers) is subject to more restrictive import regulations by the BATFE. That's why you can't get Glocks (25 and 28, IIRC) in .380 ACP in America. There are a few around that were imported for law enforcement, but I personally don't know why you'd choose one over a 9mm Luger G26 of the same size.

I think it's funny that the british newspapers make it sound so deadly. 4.53mm bullets going nearly 300mph!!! OMGZ!!

Oh wait, airsoft guns have more energy than that.
