Talk about bad luck

I was talking to a freind of mine whose husband 2 months back bought a new nissan Z and had to take it in a month later because the brakes were acting up.

The dealer mechanic takes it out for a test drive and at a red light he goes to hit the brakes and there is no brakes!
He runs the red and nearly gets run over by a semi. So they tow it back to the dealer.

They take two weeks to fix it and when he goes to pick it up the front bumper has the paint peeling off.

Apparently they had dropped brake fluid on it and were denying it telling him he brought it in that way...so he raises a stink and a week later they finally agree to fix it...

He goes to pick it up and the paint job they did is really crappy... now he has to go to the dealer and try to have them repaint it.

Damn....that sucks. Hope he gets it all sorted out. I'd demand a new car off the floor or take my business elsewhere.

I remember reading some time back about some tool at a Ford dealership who took this chick's SVT Cobra (maybe it was a Mustang GT) out for a joyride while she had it in for maintenance, then POSTS WHAT HE DID ON THE INTERNET. Well, it got back to the dealer what he did. Needless to say, he no longer works there.

I remember that. It was a HUGE fiasco.. It was awesome. 😉

Is what happened is .. the chick that owned the car found the dude's post, and asked people what she should do. They told her what to do, and she did it. The guy got reamed. 😉

That's right. I forgot exactly what happened. Thanks. There was another good one (this time involving a Subaru WRX). Basically, this genius thrashed his brand-new WRX by turning up the boost on the turbo, then tried to hide the fact that it was his fault by removing the aftermarket stuff from the engine. He then proceeds to post about it on this Subaru board. A couple of people reported him to the dealership and they ended up voiding his warranty. Stupid-ass....

I don't see how the brakes on a new care would just "go" out.

Somebody was probably asleep at the switch when that set of brakes went by on the assembly line.....
