The record for highest altitude free fall is 112,000 feet. It was done in the 1960's. I'll try to find a link, but this guy will by no means be the first to break the speed of sound in free fall.
Ok my memory failed me a little here it is I saw the story about this on the Discovery Wings channel. The show reported that he broke the speed of sound and the sonic boom could be heard on the ground. The article says otherwise so I may be wrong. You have to have some serious sack to jump from 130,000 regardless. I hope he makes it.
