yea, i had to wake up at 5:15 am to get to work wtf, im used to 6:15 but 5:15 is freaking early. then all i did all day was make topsoil, pick up sticks and rocks from the dirt we were hauling back, and then rolled the pile so if it rainds it wont get all muddy.

god damn was that a long boring obnoxious day.

and to top it off, the only breaks i got were a 10 min donut break at 9:15 and a 5 min lunch break at 1. (yea, 5 min, i ate a 1/2 lb hamburger in 5 minutes, and was stuffing it)

o well, it makes me money

jeebus....

my worst is still one of 2 18 hour days. one cleaning up after a hurricane and repairing equipment it ruined, and one taking apart, fixing, and rebuilding a drycleaning reclaimer.

I worked for a construction company for a summer doing lawn maintenance. Hauled dirt, topsoil, trees, shrubs. I absolutely loved that job. This summer has been absolutely gorgeus so I'm kind of jealous as I'm sitting at a desk indoors all day.

I'm an EE/Automation Engineer. I work in a tooling plant where we build all types of automotive equipment and we have NO AC. The temperature has been over 100 for many days and the fans just make it stick to you worse. Humidity also very high. Working on equipment, especially refurbing, is oily and dirty as hell. So yes, I do get the fun of getting my @ss filthy and hot, but...I don't break my back.

As for how long I've done it...it comes and goes. Never below 60 hours per week on average (unless vacation, holidays, etc). Getting set to do another 2 weeks of pure heck (before vacation).

Oh, up to 4th of July weekend, I had 4 days off in 7 weeks! :(

Pays the bills and saves the job(s).

yea vacatin where i work is non existant, the owner only ever takes off saturdays or maybe a 1/2 day friday max in the summer. winter is different, but in the summer you barely get any days off, just work and work and work and work

My longest stretch was 17.5 hours a day 4 days in a row at the zoo. (5:30am to 11pm)

I don't know how you could do 84 a week for 7 weeks :(

i dont make that. he prolly does though.

the guys at where i work, i think maybe prolly about $40. with 1.5 over time and pay through.

working prolly 66 hours a week minimum with winters still being busy, but prolly down to 45 hours a week, they do work at the shop, fix all the machines, build stuff, dig houses still etc.

Winter has nothing to do with it. Non stop (last year the biggest period was November through Feb).

No, I don't make $200,000 per year as I don't average 84 hours per week on an average. Mid 60's to hours per week average with spikes of up to 105 hours per week.
