If they were willing to give up the terorist organizations a war would not happen. They are the masters of their own fate. If they choose to harbor these individuals so be it.

If I was that Nic Robertson character from CNN, I'd be getting the hell out of dodge too.

If it's anything like the Afghan/Russian war, I just hope it won't be a long drawn out conflict.

Naahh! We don't want their land, we just want to kill some people. It's like kicking them in the nuts, and repeat it everytime they try to stand.

No it's all good "A Journey of a 1,000 miles begins with a single step" We are going to attack terrorism Root and branch and the countries that support them As the world got more dangerous for us it's now gotten alot more dangerous for terrorist's.

Will they fight back? Diffenately will it cost us? yes frankly I can't see how it won't. On MSNBC they warned us this wont be a quick war we need to set up a base of operations in Afganistan, The Russians have agreed to help and now we wait on the Pakistaini gov. (who help start this and better help) to give us permission to stage out of there country.

Guy this might cost us here at home too if biological weapons are used, expect Whoever suppiled them (Iraq) to feel repercussions (our policy is weapons of mass destruction are meet with weapons of mass destruction) we will also go after the nations that provided the components to said weapons.

Islamic Fundimentalism (a radical offshoot which advocates hate and voilence)is about to feel what a direct WAR against them is all about . It will be fought all over the world, Wherever these people hide they will not be safe. In 10 to 15 years the movment will be dead

We should follow through on this plan, no matter how much we suffer, no matter how many of us die,
Our policy will never be dictated to us by acts of terror
If they wanted to change our policy they should,ve done it by lobbing in the gov we do have a SYSTEM for this they chose to circumvent it

Now we have the blood of innocent martyr's and heroric rescue workers to Avenge

I humbly pray we do not fail them

I wonder if Russia will provide ground troops if there's an invasion, since Russia borders with Afghanistan.

You think that's going to be easy? Bin Laden has a small army, so it's not like they can send a couple of people down to pick him up... the Talibans would actually have to send out an army to detain this guy. And Bin Laden is higly respected by the Talibans, i doubt they would be willing to fire on their own spiritual leader.

Were way past letting them off that easy. Were going in regardless of wether we get Bin Laden first. They had their chance.

Russia is still pissed because they are fighting the Chechyen muslims, who are supported by Osama Bin Laden as well, so i'm hoping the Russians will help in this war.

More than anything, this war might actually help solidify some political relationships... nothing helps forges friendships stronger than alliances in a war.

i disagree with you on the alliance issue. Remember, the Soviet Union was our buddy during WW2

From the the CIA:

<< Economic aid - recipient: US provided about $70 million in humanitarian assistance in 1997; US continues to contribute to multilateral assistance through the UN programs of food aid, immunization, land mine removal, and a wide range of aid to refugees and displaced persons >>

Well, they already live in holes in the ground, thus they should dig a little deeper I suppose.

Why are they preparing for war if they say they are innocent? They should have nothing to be afraid of.
